Coconut Grove

On the edge of the City of Miami, lies a brilliant gem filled with roaming peacocks, sprawling live oaks, towering banyans and a plethora of tropical plants. Coconut Grove was a charming frontier village before there was the City of Miami. Constructed in the 1800’s, the county’s two oldest homes set the tone for the village’s building materials; coral rock, limestone, and Dade County pine and cypress. From cozy cottages to mansions, upscale high rise condominiums to exclusive gated communities and multi-family units on the water, Coconut Grove offers a wide array of housing options.

The “Grove” is a very quirky and unique place to live with endless activities such as sailing regattas, food and art festivals and gallery walks. Coconut Grove is also home to the popular CocoWalk, which has a wide mix of independent boutiques, restaurants and a movie theatre. The City has prestigious private schools, yacht clubs and more than a dozen waterfront and non waterfront parks with playgrounds, jogging paths and picnic areas. In the midst of this quiet breathtaking natural setting is the internationally renowned Kampong Botanical Gardens, The Barnacle Historic State Park and the grand 1920’s estate Vizcaya. The “Grove” is the rustic cosmopolitan “Old Florida” in modern Miami.
